Spinnaker Repair: Part 1

Spinnaker blew while at Round the County 2014 sailing race, midday on the second day of the race. It was a Casper 0.4oz spinnaker. The sail is 52 feet (head to clew) and 25 feet (clew to clew). About the middle of the sail is torn down to each clew. It is pretty neat to inspect and see how the wind damaged the spinnaker. Since I have been learning sail repair at The Center for Wooden boats, Reign Maker captain said I could try to repair the Spinnaker!

Next we wash the area’s that need to be fixed to remove any salt water or other grim… and we wait for repair supplies to come in!
